Research and Audit
The Hampshire Foot and Ankle Centre regularly assesses patients through questionaires and clinical assessments pre- and post-treatment. This constant auditing of our results is a vital key to ensure the highest of standards are maintained for our patients. A dedicated research physiotherapist is employed to co-ordinate audits and research projects.
The Hampshire Foot and Ankle Centre is actively involved in several research studies based both in Hampshire and at Imperial College, London. We remain committed to being at the forefront of improving surgical techniques. Examples of such studies include the long-term follow-up of total ankle replacement surgery, the new techniques for the treatment of Achilles tendon ruptures and new methods for post-operative analgesia. (Recent publications)
Patients are occassionally contacted to assist with follow-up studies and audits and their participation is invaluable to ensure best-practice is maintained. If you require any further information regarding on-going projects please do not hesitate to contact us.
